realme India has confirmed that they will be launching the new Realme 55-inch 4K SLED TV. Realme CEO Madhav Seth has posted image showing the 55-inches TV. We can see the new Realme Smart TV SLED 4K mentioned on the package.

Here’s what realme says about their upcoming 55-inch 4K SLED TV:

The SLED Display Technology is co-developed by realme and John Rooymans, Chief Scientist of SPD Technology (Spectral Power Distribution). Adopting leading SPD technology for TV blacklight, realme Smart TV SLED 4K 139cm (55″) has unprecedented
ultra-wide color gamut and eye-care with low blue light.

In nature, white light is formed by RGB Primary Colors, which is red, green and blue. Based on that, realme developed SLED Display to bring more natural viewing experience with SPD technology. While most LED TVs including QLED use a blue backlight which is then turned to white, realme SLED™ uses RGB for the initial stage, hence reducing the harmful effects of blue light and providing higher color purity. The white back light formed from RGB three basic colors combination has quite a high ability of color representation, thus realme SLED™ achieves a more notable wider color gamut and eye protection than QLED.

With the RGB powered backlight, SLED is also more healthy for your eyes. By not using Blue backlight at the start, realme SLED™ has a more balanced color distribution among red, green and blue with similar color density. Thus, SLED has fewer blue light than QLED. The lesser the blue light, the more healthy your eye would be.

Powered by SLED Display Technology, realme Smart TV SLED 4K 139cm(55″) has passed the TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification. The SLED Display Technology for TVs is the only one apart from OLED TVs to have passed this certification.

As of now we do not have launch date confirmation but it is expected to launch in October.
